If you're a New Yorker chances are you're no stranger to the skateboard scene. Stroll the streets of the city and you're certain to catch a glimpse of long-haired, jean wearing skaters weaving between taxi cabs with no fear. Photographer Hugh Holland was enthralled with this skate culture in California during the 1970's and spent a lot of time snapping pics of the kids who ruled the scene at the time.
